Just worked with Lesa Photography...we were trying to work together since last year sometime. But anyway....it finally happened!!!!!! We did an editorial shoot with 17 yr old Megan George and 15 yr old photography assist Jo Cook. We had an amazing team. Sooo much talent to be so young...LOVE IT!!!

Celebrity Makeup Artist in the Making!!

On Sunday, January 8, 2012 I had the honor and privilege to be the makeup artist for the 16th Annual Urban Wheel Awards to benefit Emerging Diversity Education Fund. It was held at the Motor City Casino Hotel Sound Board!! The UWA is the official Multicultural event of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) held every year in Detroit! It was hosted by Award Winning actress and my Soror (AKA) Phylicia Rashad and John Quinones, Emmy Award winning co-anchor of ABC newsmagazine "Primetime!" Among the celebrities included Actress Debbi Morgan, Gina Hiraizumi and Detroit Lions linebacker, Justin Durant. I did makeup for Debbi Morgan for the Fox 2 News Morning interview and for the award show as well as makeup for Phylicia Rashad. Talk about EXCITED?!?!? It was the best experience yet! I am very thankful for my Sorors Maria Bobo and Marjorie Staten for giving me this opportunity! I'm forever grateful!! This was HUGE for Jungle Rose Beauty!!!!!

Now that It's 2012

My Holiday 2011 was WONDERFUL!!! Didn't do much individual makeup but I did my last photo shoot with Carl Jones, PaigeRyan and the talented Saskia Edgmann! Rock Glam was the concept! We did amazing shots....things that could be seen in print ads. I have a sneak peak of the shoot!!

Now that it's 2012...my focus is all about GROWTH IN THIS INDUSTRY~ making a BRAND, NETWORKING and producing TEARSHEETS!! Jungle Rose Beauty is about to take off! January 8, 2012 will be very life changing for me! Stay tuned to see what happens...

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!

So, it's the night before Thanksgiving, I'm cooking with my mom and thinking about the future of JUNGLE ROSE!!! Annnnnnnnddddddd I have finally registered my domain and created my online portfolio and website through Viewbook! Although I'm still revamping, I'm very pleased with the outcome!!! Even though I'm doing the family thing....I still think about my clients and my business! Have a wonderful holiday....I definitely plan to!!

It's Been a Long Time...

I haven't posted anything in well over a year...I promised myself that I would publish postings at least once a week. That's the LEAST I can do. Anyway...I'm off of my hiatus and I'm enjoying my beautiful new addition, Braelyn Alexandria! She is such a joy as well as my oldest, Aaryn Nakia! Soooo, I jumped back on the bandwagon to building my makeup portfolio. It's time to get serious...recently, I've worked with Carl Jones and my favorite...Timothy pAULE. I'm looking to work with some new photographers and some REAL models!!!
